Mushrooms are the most common mushrooms on sale, they are grown in giant quantities in the world. You can buy mushrooms of any size to suit your taste – from the smallest to the largest. They can be white, cream, and even black. As a rule, we buy not overripe mushrooms of small size. They are well suited for a salad with mushrooms or for preparing snacks.

It is noteworthy that grown mushrooms do not require significant heat treatment. Most of all, there are many interesting dishes in which sliced raw mushrooms are used. Occasionally, when there is no time, we marinate mushrooms with a simple recipe – just pour them with hot marinade. After cooling, an excellent snack is obtained.

Fried mushrooms with onions and spices are effortless to prepare. The tastiest such dish is if small fruit bodies are fried in vegetable oil with coarsely chopped onions. A special recipe is the use of small onions, the size of which coincides with the mushrooms. When cooking, you should use many spices and, if desired, make the dish spicy.

Which mushrooms are the best to fry? Buy small mushrooms, in which the fruiting body is almost round, and the stem is practically not visible. These are guaranteed not overripe mushrooms. In addition, they will not have to be cut into parts.

When frying mushrooms, it is worth considering that they contain a lot of water. As soon as the mushrooms heat up, they will begin to release moisture. As long as the liquid does not evaporate, the mushrooms will be cooked faster than fried. It is important to evaporate excess liquid as quickly as possible. In addition, it is worth considering that onions are also fried quickly, and you need to find a balance between the time of frying mushrooms and onions.

If you like, you can serve them with mashed potatoes as a main dish. Add many onions to the dish, the best result is obtained if mushrooms and fried onions are approximately equal.

    Peel the onion and cut it into large pieces. If the bulbs are small, they can be cut into 4–6 parts. Try to use small onions that are used for planting – you can leave them uncut. Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan. Fry the chopped onion until soft and a pleasant golden color begins to appear.

    Mushrooms should be thoroughly washed and cleaned of substrate residues. If the mushrooms are large, they should be cut in half. Add champignons to onions, mix, and fry over medium heat. If the mushrooms have released moisture, the heating should be increased until the moisture evaporates. Fry the onion and mushrooms until the mushrooms start to brown a little. Salt and pepper to taste. Fried champignons are especially tasty if they are spicy, I advise you to add a little hot pepper if desired. After 1–2 minutes, the dish is ready.
