The easiest party appetizer dish that’s always an absolute delight. Chicken wings are a great budget snack, they taste great both on their own and in sauce. The recipe itself is as simple as boiled potatoes!
Crispy baked chicken wings

- Buy chicken wings from the store, then cut off the tips, and then cut each wing into two pieces – a mini wing and a thigh.
- Baking powder is the key to these crispy chicken wings (don’t use baking soda/baking soda) – it helps pull the moisture out of the skin for a nice crisp.
- A little salt and pepper for flavor
👩🍳 PRO TIP. Make sure you dry the wings as much as possible (using a paper towel) before adding the spices, this will ensure that you only get a thin layer of baking powder that will stick to the wings and will also ensure that the wings are crispier.

Chicken wings in air fryer

These fried chicken wings are ready in an air fryer in 35 minutes. It is perfect for a party. They're delicious whether you eat them plain or add a sauce.
Ingredients
- Chicken wings - 1 kg. (2.2 lbs)
- Baking powder - 1 tbsp. l., without aluminum content*
- Salt - 1/2 tsp.
- Black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
Instructions
Cut each wing at the junction to create a mini wing and thigh!
Pat the wings dry with paper towels, then place in a large bowl and add the baking powder*, salt and pepper. Stir.
Note: It's important to dry the wings first, so they only get a light coat of spices and baking powder.
Add to the air fryer, cook for 30–35 minutes at 210 °C (410 °F), shaking the basket every 10 minutes.
Serve with your favorite sauce!

Notes
The recipe says to use aluminum-free baking powder. Baking powder that contains aluminum (sodium aluminum sulfate or E521) may cause a metallic taste in some people who are sensitive to it.
Just like chicken wings, you can cook chicken thighs or drumsticks. The proportions are not variable!
